Arte de Daveed

David (pronounced Dah-VEED) is an award-winning artist who studied illustration at the Ringling College of Art and Design in the early 1990s. He draws inspiration from both the figurative artists of the Renaissance and the Surrealists of the early 20th century, blending elements from both movements into his distinctive work.

Daveed's painting, "Portrait in Sepia," won first place in The Art Center Sarasota juried show "Show Us What You Got." In 1990, he was also selected to design a logo for the 100th anniversary of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Currently, Daveed is a free-lance artist and is one of the artists in residence, painting live at Cafe Barbosso in Sarasota, Florida.
